Today we present the soon to release collaboration between Footpatrol and Converse on the Pro Leather Pack. The London store worked with the Converse First String line on the Pro Leather High and Pro Leather Low, each coming with premium leather uppers, embossed logo details and Mali print details on the tongue and heel. The low top colorway we find especially appealing for the summer months.
The Converse Pro Leather shoe is one of the most iconic sneakers of all time, so when Converse approached us on a collaboration on the Pro Leather Hi and Ox we said yes and so the design process began! We wanted to keep the silhouette as clean as possible with intricate detailing. After going through some designs, we were very happy with the final outcome. We used soft pig skin suede (grey hi/spearmint ox) on the entire upper on both models and the Converse chevron branding on the side panels. We’re all great fans of cultural printed fabrics and wanted to incorporate that into the shoe, so we added a black & white Aztec inspired print to the Pro Leather Hi heel stripe and the tongue label. Also sitting on the heel is the embroidered FP collegiate logo, whilst the Gas Mask logo is de-bossed on the outer side of the shoe. The inner sole artwork features the black and white Aztec print with the Footpatrol bar logo on the right foot and Converse brand logo on the left. The Pro Leather Ox has a been given extra detailing with the use of the Mali print running through the entire tongue and a pig skin suede tongue label.
The Footpatrol x Converse First String Pro Leather Pack will release on June 29, 2012.
