Hong Kong’s Hypebeast, one of the standout leaders in online culture reporting, is the latest media house to enter the world of physical printed media; one that many believed would be abandoned for the world of screen readers and mobile phones. But with a strong earned audiences following their every move daily – if not hourly, such a move into print is a natural one. Like our own Highsnobiety, Hypebeast has now set a foundation into traditional print media and one that will certainly have old media thinking . We appaud their work and welcome them to the space.
The inaugural issue features 200 pages around the theme of ‘Synthesis,’ “where the essence of renowned fashion designers was captured through in-depth interviews and editorial shoots.” Inside readers will find content around the likes of Kris Van Assche, Phillip Lim, Boris Bidjan Saberi, Shawn Stussy and others. Our congrats to the team over at Hypebeast.
The inaugural issue is now officially sold out in their online shop. We’re not surprised.
