Not much happened at Dior Homme Spring/Summer 2013. Perhaps not a bad thing if you caught Pierre Cardin’s show, where everything happened all at once, then exploded, then flew off into space, then fell over. No such madness from Kris Van Assche. Much of the collection seemed hinged around buttons and their placement. A narrow double breast, lined up along the shoulders, matt, mettalic…Not to be outdone, zips also made their way in but were generally hidden on sharp boxy jackets and bombers. Navy all over the place, head to toe, never a bad thing – simple, clean, accurate – this was wearable Dior Homme.
