Boardwalk House by Demetriades + Walker Architecture

American firm Demetriades + Walker Architecture crafted New York’s ‘Boardwalk House’ with an open concept and no formal entry. Set just above the Atlantic Ocean, the home’s living room, kitchen, dressing and pool areas, outdoor shower and roof deck are all organized along an exterior path – dubbed the boardwalk – which ultimately leads to the ocean. Large hurricane-ready windows make way to exposed raw materials and colorful surfaces for a textured interior full of light. The outside of the structure features zinc-coated copper panels with a matte finish and a subtly graded roof with an external staircase leading up to a rooftop terrace. Simply stunning.
