Unlike was founded in Berlin in 2008 and quickly became the go to city guide for tastemakers around the globe. Today they announce a multitude of changes and additions to their service, along with the launch their new free iPhone app.
What sets Unlike apart from everything else that we have seen on the market, is not only their know how, expressed with comprehensive listings encompassing everything from high-end restaurants, to avant-garde architecture, concept stores and underground clubs, but the addition of premium quality editorial. Rather than simply listing the places, Unlike actually finds out everything you need to know about the spot. Of course their strategy of working with global tastemakers, who produce maps and give tips of their favorite local spots, also helps and makes sense.
Now all that sounds great and it has been great as well, but with the relaunch of their website recently and now the matching iPhone app, all that content is finally also being presented the way it should be. Last but not least, the user can now also participate, add places, review places and really interact with the Unlike community. Along with the launch of the app, Unlike has also added guides for several new cities, including New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Warsaw.
