Staple, headed by Jeff Staple, presents its new Fall/Winter 2012 Collection. The range consists of a wide array of styles, ranging from t-shirts, to shirt, outerwear and of course also a line-up of accessories, with the cap category seeming to be the dominant one. The ‘Pigeon’ logo is present on almost all product, having been a hit every since the collaboration of Staple and Nike on the ‘Pigeon’ Dunk.
Two particular eras that we looked at for inspiration in terms of eras of American History were the “Insurgent Era,” which embodies all of our fascination with warfare: everything from civil wars, to world wars, to current day guerrilla warfare. And the “Native Era,” which is a tribute to the original caretakers of this land, the Native Americans, and the struggles that they’ve been through as well. Those are the two main thematic groups for Fall 2012. We also introduced a new range within our line called the “Staple Icon” series, which is a sub-collection that reflects on our origins and where we came from: New York City.
