Designer Kacper Hamilton used traditional Japanese ‘Higonokami’ folding knives as inspiration for this collection for Swiss ski company Zai. Higonokami are known as ‘living fossils’ as the mode of production and the product itself has remained unchanged since the 19th century. The Zai Higo set includes knives and screwdrivers designed to be used to adjust skies, all with a magnetic auto lock mechanism and thanks to their efficient design, all operable with one hand. Anodized aluminium casing, steel tools, a superb set from the London based designer.
