Where form meets function

Brooklyn based artist, Aakash Nihalani was awarded a residency by Lisa de Kooning at the Willem de Kooning studio in East Hampton, NY. Along with two other artists in residence for the summer, Nihalani created studio and site-specific installations featuring his distinctive geometric works stemming from his roots as a street artist. The resulting work showcases his candidness in creating pop-out juxtapositions between the two-dimensional and three dimensional worlds. Sounds like a lovely summer to us.
