Mercedes-Benz’s Striking Metallic Blue SLS AMG Coupé Electric Drive

With Paris Motor Show going on, there are lots of great cars being presented these days. One of the most interesting ones we can show you today. Mercedes-Benz‘s SLS AMG Gullwing supercar will be released in an all electric version. A small series-production run of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG E-CELL is expected to be launched onto the market in 2013. The ground-breaking drive system of the technology vehicle boasts some outstanding features: powerful traction is provided by four synchronous electric motors with a combined peak output of 392 kW and a maximum torque of 880 Nm. With its 571 hp, the car sprints from 0-100 km/h in just 4 seconds.

Mercedes-Benz did a nice job giving the car a striking electric blue metallic paint job, hinting at the E-Cell engine. All that of course comes at a price, which will be close to 500’000 Euros.
