There has been talk for at least three years around the release of the The Beatles’ Stereo Vinyl remastered studio albums. We suspect that once they completed their digital and compact disc remasters, the engineers worked tediously to get the sound proper for the analog vinyl versions.
November 13, 2012 is the big day. Some initial notes: each of The Beatles 14 albums in the new stereo vinyl boxset will be pressed on audiophile-proper 180-gram vinyl, with all original artwork including poster inserts as found in The Beatles (The White Album), the Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Heart Club Band’s cutouts, and special inner bags for some of the titles. “Each album will be available individually, and accompanied by a stunning, elegantly designed 252-page hardbound book in a lavish boxed edition which is limited to 50,000 copies worldwide. ”
For those paying attention: this is the stereo boxset. 2013 will bring us what we’re certain will be a highly limited mono version boxset. Save your money, friends.
