This evening Hedi Slimane debuted his very first Saint Laurent collection. Having rebranded and revamped the famed French luxury house of Yves Saint Laurent, the former Dior designer presented his inaugural women’s season, Spring 2013, with an abundance of black, white and sheer looks. Wide-brimmed felt hats were a focal point of the styling, paired with high, sharp shoes. And we mean literally sharp: the T-strapped platforms included a row of metal chainsaw-like teeth inside the heel.
The first men’s collection is yet to be seen, but if these looks are any indication, we’re in for more of what we loved most from Slimane’s Dior Homme.
