Today Microsoft launched the first ad for its upcoming Surface tablet computer. We gave you a detailed look at the device here a while ago. At the time we were actually surprised of how promising the device seems. Features that the Surface has and the iPad does not, are being focussed on in the new commercial – the integrated stand and the clip-on keyboard, as well as highlighting the new Windows 8 operating system, which has already gotten some great reviews in the pre-release phase. Focussing on the differentiation points to the iPad makes totally sense in our opinion, but otherwise the ad turned out to be a little cheesy.
