The 5 Best New Music Videos Of The Week – M83, Wild Nothing & More

Another fantastic week for music video releases and another set of interesting collaborations. Jack Tatum teamed up with Michelle Williams to create something beautiful and tender whilst Kevin Barnes joined forces with his wife to create a video bursting with sexual reverie. Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.

M83 – Steve McQueen (Dir. Balthazar Auxietre & Sylvain Derosne)

The video for Anthony Gonzalez’s majestic, sweat-drenched, head-swaying anthem continues with the band’s themes of childlike wonder. I think even Bullitt would get down to this one.

of Montreal – Sails Hermaphroditic (Kevin Barnes & Nina Barnes)

The Peach State rockers have released new visuals for the first release from their new rarities collection, Daughter Of Cloud. Directed by frontman Barnes and his wife Nina, this is certainly not going to be to everyone’s taste.

Titus Andronicus – In a Big City (Dir. Isaac Ravishankara)

Brooding and morose, the video follows Patrick Stickler walking through the band’s native New Jersey. Suburban shots entwined with scenic beauty, this one’s a real gem.

Wild Nothing – Paradise (Dir. Matthew Amato)

Michelle Williams stars in a deliciously 80s inspired video for Jack Tatum’s latest release from new album, Nocturne. It features a voiceover by Williams reading from Iris Murdoch’s ‘A Wild Child’. The video “chronicles travel by plane and the paradise found just beyond the window.” Beautiful.

Danny Brown – WitIt (Dir. Bijoux Altamirano)

Another one for the internet age, inspired by .gifs and ‘No Limit’ cover art. Check the trippy ying-yangs, vampirettes, and dripping vinyl over optical illusions. All this just looks like a typical day in the life of Danny Brown.
