In the 70s and 80s London retailer Asprey had an official relationship with Rolex and the Swiss watch brand produced exclusive versions of its iconic Oyster line for Asprey. At the time the watches were not branded on the dial, but usually on the case back with the Asprey logo.
Almost 30 years after the relationship has ended, Asprey will be selling Rolex watches again, this time in collaboration with Bamford Watch Department. Bamford has taken a series of Rolex Submariners, Milgausses, and Daytonas, given them the signature black PVD treatment that they are known for and added the iconic Asprey purple to the dial, along with the Asprey logo. There will only be 50 Submariners, 25 Milgausses and 12 Daytonas as part of the collaboration, priced at £15,000, £16,800, and £24,000 respectively. If you are interested in any of them, you have to contact Asprey directly.
