Based in London, Harry Stedman looks across the Atlantic for inspiration, offering their own take on American classics. Harry Stedman, father of the brands director Philip Stedman, serves as figurehead for the brand. A Liverpudlian, Stedman enlisted in the British Army in 1951 and travelled the world as a result. Ending up in New York he discovered “classic dockers’ workwear, the luxury of fine Brooks Brothers shirting and a whole host of music inspired styles that had yet to filter to the British Isles.” Bringing these styles back to his homeland, Harry was part of a growing interest in American Ivy and laidback casuals on English soil. Today, the brand that takes his name continues along similar lines, those style of the 50s & 60s that merged modern with traditional as relevant now as ever. A case in point, the showerproof Drizzler Jacket. A classic boxy fit with plenty of detail including Corozo, side adjusters, chinstrap and quilted lining. Available in Navy or Green, this smart piece of outerwear gives a flavour of good things to come from this new brand. Find yours here.
