Undefeated x Puma Clyde “Gametime” 24K Gold Edition & Eddie Cruz Q&A

As we showed you recently, the latest drop in the ongoing PUMA x Undefeated collaboration pays homage to the basketball roots of the classic PUMA Clyde. The pack includes Clydes in 5 colorways inspired by championship winning cities – Boston, Miami, New York, LA, and Chicago – each is done up in a perforated suede and has a city specific lace lock and heel stripe. The pack also includes a special all-gold promo shoe that will only be available to a lucky few.

Q & A with Eddie Cruz from Undefeated

What is the significance of the gold shoe? Does it represent anything?

It’s an homage to the USA winning the gold medal. We did an all gold shoe in the first pack we did with PUMA a few years ago called the 24K pack and it was very well received, and its one that people still ask about today. But it was just a simple way to tie it back into the spirit of USA basketball winning the gold.

What was the inspiration behind this pack?

The PUMA x Undefeated Gametime pack was inspired by successful basketball teams.

Is there any backstory or significance to the materials chosen?
I wanted to stay true to the materials used in the classic PUMA Clydes, but added a perforated feature and heel stripe to represent basketball uniforms.

How did you choose the 5 cities that are represented?

They are cities with championships.

Is there anything else you would like to mention about the pack that we should be aware of?

Undefeated has always been deep rooted in, and inspired by sports and the military so it was fun for us to finally do a sports based pack, we had a good time with it.
