Villa SSK by Takeshi Hirobe Architects

Located in Chiba/Japan the amazing Villa SSK by Takeshi Hirobe Architects is designed in the geometric form of a hexagon (also referred to as a heptagon), a mathematical 7 sided construction. 2 levels are built within the center of the large hexagonal shell, overlooking the coastal waters at the end of its plot.  The significant outer walls of the building rise and widen upwards and out, creating a shape that associates with a diamond. Wooden panels and beams create the segmented curvature of the wall and roof planes while glass facades cap the north and south elevations oriented
towards the ocean and mountain views. a home that appears to change and contort with every viewing angle.  Takeshi Hirobe Architects have truly created something special with Villa SSK.

Take a closer look at the imposing building in the gallery above.
