Nikon is set to launch two 1 series models in February including the J3 and S1. The J3 features a 14.2MP camera while the S1 comes equipped with a 10.1MP camera. Both cameras include 73-point autofocusing and 15FPS burst photography, exceptional features given their entry-level status.
Apart from their resolution, the main differences between the 2 models are the J3’s inclusion of a basic panorama mode and the S1’s slightly wider ISO range, starting at ISO 100 versus the J3’s 160.
The S1 will retail for $500 with an 11-27.5mm lens, while the J3 will have a price tag of $600 with 10-30mm optics. New lenses and accessories will be available for both models soon including a $750 WP-N2 underwater case for scuba divers.
Check out both cameras above and watch out for a February release.
