We are proud to announce the release of our sixth issue featuring the stars of Larry Clark’s latest film, Marfa Girl. For the cover story, Adam Mediano and Mercedes Maxwell are photographed and paired against an interview with the American filmmaker and photographer. Clark discusses at length the inspiration behind his newest film and everything that went into it, including its unique release method.
For the Spring/Summer 2013 issue, plenty of photo productions are included like the series by Yves Borgwardt who traveled to Thailand to capture the Hawaiian shirt in its proper environment. Kimi Hammerstroem returns to this issue with a colorful spread starring model Mimi Wade. Our creative team in Canada, Park National, met up with Boys Noize in Montreal for a Nike Air Force 1 editorial.
Also included are illustrations by Carine Brancowitz and our very own Fritz Radtke. Brancowitz used her weapon of choice, the ballpoint pen, to recreate the essentials from Hedi Slimane’s pret-a-porter line for Saint Laurent while Radtke created a collage made of discarded fashion magazines on the “Most Influential Designers of the Last Decade”.
Curious to know what goes on during the production process, we took a behind-the-scenes look at the German watch customizer Blaken and the English clothier Barbour. Interviews include J. Lindeberg on his brand BLK DNM and Lanvin designer Lucas Ossendrijver on the current state of menswear.
All of this and much more is included as part of the 180-page issue, which is set to debut at Bread & Butter Berlin on January 14th and will then be released at stores, galleries, and events around the world.
