Taking his inspiration from fellow countryman August Strindberg, Jonny Johansson has unveiled his Fall/Winter 2013 collection for Acne in Paris. After visiting an exhibition which featured the Swedish writer’s self-portraits, Johansson referenced garments from the turn of the 19th century and redesigned military pieces for modern times.
The upcoming collection features characteristics typical of Scandinavian design including clean lines and a minimalistic approach. Proportions are prominent throughout with tastefully long shirts poking out underneath jackets and pants cuffed well above the ankle. The result is a collection that thoroughly accomplishes what it seeks out to do.
