Thom Browne Fall/Winter 2013 Collection

Earlier today Thom Browne presented his new Fall/Winter 2013 Collection during Paris Fashion Week. As usual the New York designer had something a little different waiting for his attendees.

Upon arrival to the show, a wooden house structure was standing in the middle of the room, with all seating placed around it. Models were chained to the house and hammering against it. The house, as well as the looks of the models (especially due to the hats that they were wearing) wear heavily inspired by the Amish. The mood and sounds in the room were great and build up some great suspense in the beginning of the show. Once the show started, the models moved around the house, through the different rooms. Compared to previous collections, the designer presented a very sober collection, only using grey, black and white tones. All models were wearing square hats and fur was also used on a series of pieces. Obviously, as always, the runway collection by Browne has very little to do with what finally lands in store and also it was once again a well put together spectacle, yet a little underwhelming compared to the impressive shows from previous seasons in our mind.

Flip through some of the looks in the above gallery.
