Following Disney’s recent acquisition of Lucasfilm from George Lucas, it has been announced that J.J. Abrams will direct the next “Star Wars” film, “Star Wars: Episode VII.”
Known for his work on television franchises like “Lost,” “Fringe” and “Alias” and films such as “Mission: Impossible III,” “Star Trek” and “Super 8,” Abrams is the man behind Bad Robot and one of the most successful producers and directors in Hollywood.
Disney has slated the next episode of Star Wars for a 2015, so if this rumor is true J.J. Abrams will need to begin work immediately. It is said the script will be penned by “Little Miss Sunshine” screenwriter Michael Arndt. Stay with us for further news.
