In 2012 Nike started a global running movement that quickly took over both city streets and social media networks like Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. As part of the campaign, the connection between running and lifestyle was emphasized, perfectly capturing the comeback of trainers on and off the track. An interactive video was even released a few days ago to focus on the setting of goals as an individual and then achieving them as a team.
To turn this idea into a reality, a majority of the Highsnobiety and Highsnobette teams joined forces for Nike’s #makeitcount campaign and we can now proudly say “we did it.” Over the past 31 days, each of us achieved the goal of running 50km, some even more. Step by step we began to enjoy the process of waking up early, heading out into the chilling cold, and conquering our daily, weekly, and finally, monthly goals.
Quickly our individual aspirations turned into team aspirations and we’re now starting the second month of the year as a stronger team and even more ambitious than before. As the weather warms up, we plan to continue counting our kilometers with Nike+, so stay tuned for future updates.
