First introduced in the military for pilots, the Bomber Jacket has long played an important role in mens fashion. This year, while always having been around, the bomber jacket celebrates one of the strongest comebacks ever. From streetwear to high end, pretty much every label is producing their own version of the iconic jacket this season. While checking out the Fall/Winter 2013 runway shows and showrooms, we also noticed that the trend is not bound to be over any time soon.
For now we put together a selection of some of our favorite bomber jackets from the Spring/Summer 2013 Collections, all available in stores now.
Check out our selection here below.
Band Of Outsiders
The California brand presents a preppy striped version of the bomber jacket, which will look great on the street and the beach as well. You can buy it now here.
The French brand goes wild and adds a blue leopard all over print to the jacket. A.P.C always has the silhouette in their collections, sometimes more subtle and as seen here, sometimes a little more attention seeking. Get it here.
Kris Van Assche and Dior Homme of course go with a very slim cut and minimalist version of the bomber, in cotton for Spring/Summer 2013. It is now in stock here.
The English luxury brand is known for its bold print work. A Dragonfly all over print has been applied to the bomber jacket this season, now in stock here.
Known for their continuous military inspiration, it is no surprise that Stone Island also pays tribute to the silhouette. A nylon metal version has come out this season in military green with an anti drop finish and light weight construction. Get it here.
The head designer of A.P.C. recently launched his own namesake line, still under the A.P.C. umbrella. Mostly consisting of leather jackets, the offering also includes the above gold metallic leather bomber. Get it now here.
While color and silhouette seem classic, at a closer inspection Raeburn applied interesting materials, paneling and embroidery to the jacket. It is now in stock here.
Dries Van Noten
If you want a great cut, minimalist details, no branding and just an all around timeless high end piece of clothing, then you have to go with Dries. Now in stock here.
