Buyer’s Guide: A Selection Of Colourful Spring Season Sneakers

Winter is not even close to ending soon, yet we already notice the days getting longer again – bit by bit. Yes, even after weeks of grey winter dreariness, the sun celebrated a much anticipated comeback, giving us a first glimpse of all the spring goodness to come. We used this as an opportunity to once again roam our favourite shops for a selection colourful sneakers, to ring in the upcoming warm season appropriately. See them after the jump.

 

Y-3 – Green leaf patterned Tokio Trainers

Emiting a subtle summery vibe, these sweet sneaks by Y-3 are definitely a vacation for your feet. Made of textile and leather the feature a colourful floral print, black toe cap, contrasting white heel area and purple mesh at tongue, topped of with a black rubber sole and rubber stud accents on the midsole. Vans – Era Hawaiian & Red

Fot their latest Spring/Summer collection Vans has been digging up some nice vintage patterns to adorn their classic silhouette with. So if you can’t afford a vacation on Hawaii, get the above Eras instead. Definitely not the same, but at least you will end up with a great pair of shoes. You can get them over at Karmaloop.

 

Valentino – Camouflage-Print Leather and Suede Sneakers

Coming from Valentino‘s latest Spring/Summer collection, the above sneaker combines a slim running silhouette with an expressive Warhol-esque camouflage pattern. They’re crafted from leather, suede and canvas and feature the brand’s signature studs at the heel, as an eye-snatching detail. You can get them now at Mr. Porter.

 

Reebok x Keith Haring – Classic Leather Mid Strap Lux

Keith Haring was never one to shy away from monetising his work, earning him a reputation oscilaing between genius businessman and sellout artist pretty early in his career. Even almost a quarter of a century after his way too early death his art hasn’t lost any of its initial commercial appeal, resulting in a number of more or less interesting collabs in recent times. The latestone comes from Reebok, who reworked their classic high top silhouette with Haring’s distinctive artwork. They are now available at SneakernStuff

 

Nike – Dunk High AC NRG/BL

The scaled-back Nike Dunk High AC is now available in a sweet colourblocked Quickstrike edition. Crafted from a premium suede upper, the shoes features a white leather swoosh on top of white midsole. It is now available in limited quantities from Hanon.

 

Nike – Air Max 90 Medium Grey, Metallic Silver & Black

Not too flashy not too bleak, this version of the classic Nike Air Max 90 comes in a well balanced colourway, that sees spots of yellow, violet and silver standing out on a grey and black background. There’s is not much to say about Jeremy Scott‘s and adidas Originals ongoing collaborative efforts, besides: Haters gonna hate. Lovers, however, proceed directly to Crooked Tongues.
