Fellow womenfolk, good news, Nigel Cabourn has received your letters and telegrams, a Fall Winter 2013 collection created just for the ladies is on its way. The basic idea was to create a high quality collection with all the same attention to detail and obsessive research that goes into the men’s. The partnership with Cerruti (featured previously) crosses over allowing incredible 100% cashmere knitwear to feature. Alongside are classic Cabourn pieces; The Cameraman Jacket, The Everest Parka , The Mallory Jacket as well as a three piece suit made up of vest, wide lag pant and a lightweight Harris Tweed jacket – All cut to fit the female form. The beautiful imagery that introduces this first collection is inspired by photographer Gerda Taro, the first female war photographer to cover the front line. Taro worked closely with Robert Capa “sharing the most dangerous moments of the Spanish revolution. A true icon of an independent And free women who fits very well into the Nigel Cabourn philosophy.” A must see, head to the gallery for more.
