The 5 Best New Music Videos Of The Week – Jahan Lennon, Valentina & More

In a typically busy week for music video releases we’ve opted to feature the artists you may not necessarily already know but we’ll be damned if they don’t blow up in 2013. With that in mind, make sure to check out our top five videos over your weekend and remember, you saw them here first.

Valentina – Wolves (Dir. Richard Forbes-Hamilton)

Richard Forbes-Hamilton lends his hand to create a wonderfully animated and visually breath-taking video. It’s amazing what a few carefully constructed brushstrokes can do to add depth and meaning to this already beautiful track.

Blue Foundation – Lost Feat. Sara Savery (Dir. Tobias Wilner & Sara Savery)

The Brooklyn-based dream-pop outfit teamed up with the effortlessly sexy singer, Sara Savery in this sultry set of visuals. Filmed entirely in an apartment in Paris, watch as this canoodling couple get jiggy in the shower and lock legs in the bedroom.

Saturday, Monday – The Ocean Feat. Julia Spada (Dir. Positive Negative)

Another week goes by and yet another wonderful Scandinavian video has made our top 5 list. Saturday, Monday a.k.a Ludvig Parment is a Swedish producer with more experience than you might realize having already released music with Suck Shaft and Louis Shine Beats. This time he’s teamed up with Stockholm native Julia Spada and with video direction from Positive Negative what’s not to like?

Jahan Lennon – Can’t Ruin My Fun (Dir. Shomi Patwary)

Lennon plays a bona fide hustler in Shomi Patwary’s twist on Midnight Cowboy. Jahan, listen man, if the whole music thing doesn’t work out, we reckon you’d make a pretty decent living doing this shit.

Bleached – Next Stop (Dir. Lana Kim)

Sisters Jessie and Jennifer Clavin hit the road, party in motels and generally have a blast.
