In his NBA tenure, Nate Robinson has managed to capture even the casual fan’s attention, despite his small stature, thanks to his mind-bending athleticism which has lead to his three NBA Dunk Contest crowns. It’s with that same flare that Mr. Robinson took the court for the Chicago Bulls last night against the ageless San Antonio Spurs while wearing the Nike Air Yeezy II’s. Known primarily as a sartorial state-of-mind as opposed to a piece of high-performance footwear, Robinson wasn’t deterred by the design aesthetics, bulkiness and Bowser-esque spikes in the back. While Kanye West said himself, “Hold up, I ain’t trying to stunt man, but these Yeezy’s jumped over the Jump Man,” it would seem that the Air Jordan’s would have the last laugh. After Robinson went 1-8 in the first quarter while wearing the Air Yeezy II’s, Robinson switched to the Jordan XII white/red for the rest of the game. Do you think Nate’s choice of sneakers had an impact on the game?
