Founded after the Second World War in Florence, Tuscany, Roy Roger’s holds the distinction of being the very first Italian denim brand. Still producing in Italy to this day, the American-inspired label rose to prominence when in the ’70s, wearing jeans became synonymous of anti-conformity and youth protest.
This season the storied Italian label shows a strong mix of quality materials, vintage styling and modern cuts. Vegetable-tanned labels made from vintage 1965 leather found in the Roy Roger’s archive mate with raw Japanese selvedge denim, while a capsule Surf Heritage collection takes inspiration from vintage Waikiki beach patterns. In addition to menswear, Roy Roger’s also produces a collection for the ladies.
