After a brief but excellent trip to London we’re back at HQ with five more Tumblrs to carry you into next week. We’ve mixed things up this week more than we have in the past while still paying respect to everything Highsnobiety is about. Let us know what you think of this week’s selection and as always, feel free to leave your Tumblr in the comments section below. With a bit of luck you’ll see yours here next week.
Admittedly a very female-oriented blog, Prima Creative by Christina Rinaldi shows off the creative director/nail artist’s designs. Based in Brooklyn, some designs exist solely on their own while others play on popular prints and patterns.
The Tumblr of typographer Dan Cassaro, featured is a bunch of the native New Yorker’s work along with a few sources of inspiration. Limited edition work is shown, too, including our personal favorite the “Fleetwood Macbook.”
A great discovery from last week’s list, Robotsonmeth provides a clean format for scrolling through beautiful women, music, art, fashion, and a bit more. The aforementioned beautiful women are certainly the focus but the few quotes and animals tossed in provide for a worthy visit.
Illustrated Nikes are a dime a dozen, but The Ill Suite manages to capture and display the Swoosh’s most iconic silhouettes in an easy-to-scroll format. First seen in last week’s list, a brief caption accompanies each piece for a quick history lesson.
Filling in the architecture gap this week is the aptly titled Architecture of Doom. A very interesting take on a loaded word that applies the term to different schools of design from brutalism to Stalinism.
