An interesting little film directed by actress Tara Subkoff, starring Chloe Sevigny. Magic Hour sees the star long for her life in New York after moving to LA, a city she can’t stand and longs to escape from. Lots of NY vs LA chatter follows (“Constant sunshine all day long? I mean there it is, every day, the sun”) as her phone converstaion to a mystery ‘friend’ ends in a bit of a twist. Created to celebrate the opening of the 2013 Urs Fischer exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, the short features music from Lissy Trullie, produced by Tatiana Von Fürstenburg. Yeah, it’s a pals production. Press Play.
