Za Bor Architects were given carte blanche to design this single family home in Moscow, with the only stipulation being to preserve all of the existing trees in the 1800-square-meter plot. The home is carefully composed into public and private spaces, and the monochromatic concrete exterior is complimented by a largely marble interior, dotted with channels of pebbles and built-in black furniture, as well as an opulent wine cellar using dark food and tinted mirrors. The more private areas are swathed in warmer materials and calmer cream-colored textiles in conjunction with a sloped roof with skylights bathing the home in natural light.
