Originally garnishing attention for hosting 3D-printed rifle parts online, Defense Distributed has created the world’s first fully 3D-printed gun. The design is currently available for download at the company’s website. Dubbed the Liberator, the handgun has 16 parts, 15 of which are made of plastic and were printed in a Stratasys Dimension SST. The 16th piece is a non-functional metal part designed to make the gun detectable by a metal detector in order to comply with the Undetectable Firearms Act. What are your thoughts on the entire 3D-printed gun movement?
