How would you feel about living in a house held up angled galvanized steel beams? If it looked anything like this number from David Barr + Ross Brewin Architects in Perth, Western Australia, I’d take my chances. Built around the concept of a suburban beach house, this 150 square meter box on stilts is clad in white colorbond steel (for low heat absorption) with the interiors skinned with sustainably sourced timber. 3 bedrooms with separate living and eating spaces, the most striking area has to be the outdoors viewing deck looking out to the coast. Take a look around in the gallery.
