To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the original Quattro, Audi is reportedly planning to unveil a production version of the 2010 Quattro Concept. Intended to be a tribute to the original and legendary 1984 Sport Quattro, the Quattro Concept looked fantastic when it was originally unveiled and was powered by a 2.5-liter five-cylinder that produced around 380 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque. Reports suggest that the automaker is planning to debut a production version at Frankfurt this September. The new Quattro will have a “sharper” shape than the concept and will also incorporate a number of lightweight components such as carbon fiber, aluminum and magnesium. Rumors are suggesting that the production car could end up being powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 that’s good for around 650 hp and will likely sticker for around $150,000 USD.
