Versace Spring/Summer 2014 Collection

Celebrating the extreme discipline of athletes, Versace presents its Spring/Summer 2014 collection. Donatella Versace explained that the discipline athletes must exercise in pursuit of their goals was something she felt she could relate to at this point in her life. Implemented throughout the collection are suit sleeves shoved elbow-ward and trousers ending in an athletic ribbed cuff. The designer’s silk tailoring and knitwear features an intriguing update as well: a Warholian interpretation of the portraits taken by Bert Stern of Marilyn Monroe just before she died.
