Germany’s VANDEYK Contemporary Cycles look to art and design for inspiration, frame-builders who aim to create “art objects on two wheels with cutting-edge performance.” So, as you’d expect, this first collaborative project with Rapha Continental is a bit of a looker as well as being built to last. An all-terrain cycle, the Columbus XCr stainless steel frame features added tyre clearance, longer seatstays and disc brakes for bumpy road situations. VANDEYK founder Arendt van Deyk explains “…this frame is handmade by our builder Georg Blaschke, an expert with more than 20 years of experience. But also we take a long time thinking about the creative direction, a perfect paintjob, components and staging of the collection from the very beginning – collaborating with curated experts from all fields. We take the time we need, until we are fully convinced of the overall outcome.” Head to VANDEYK for more.
