The 5 Best New Music Videos of the Week – Phoenix, Mount Kimbie & More

What another incredible week it’s been for new music video releases! This week sees two French bands in our top five cut, one already established on the world stage, whilst the other is sure to make a splash with their new video. Check out our picks below and have a fantastic weekend.

Casseurs Flowters – Bloqué (Dir. David Tomaszewski)

I honestly don’t even know what to say about this one. I was skeptical at the start but be sure to watch ’til the end for an original visual filmed on a budget. That chorus is frustratingly catchy.

Side note: my (apparent) degree in French did not help at all for this.

Justin Timberlake – Tunnel Vision (Dir. Jonathan Craven, Simon McLoughlin & Jeff Nicholas)

High quality production, dancing, and a multitude of women wearing next to nothing, pretty much ticks all the boxes. With the release of the “Mirrors” video and now this, JT is setting a pretty high benchmark.

Phoenix – Trying To Be Cool (Dir. CANADA)

Created in collaboration with The Creators Project, this new video offering from everybody’s favorite French rockers was filmed entirely live in full takes of the song.

Mount Kimbie – You Took Your Time feat. King Krule (Dir. Marcus Söderlund)

London-based post-dubstep/minimal geniuses Mount Kimbie have dropped the visuals for the Cold Spring Fault Less Youth standout, “You Took Your Time.” Featuring vocals from Archie Marshall aka King Krule aka one of the most sought-after artists right now, this track is easily one of my favorites of 2013.

M O N E Y – Hold Me Forever (Dir. Cillian Murphy)

A light is shone upon the beautiful and enchanting world of ballet. Featuring the English National Ballet and filmed at the historic Old Vic Theatre, this is a fantastic directorial debut from celebrated Irish actor Cillian Murphy.
