After his widely acclaimed Fall/Winter 2013 presentation with Fashion East, Joseph Turvey is back with his Spring/Summer 2014 Collection No.4. For his recent collection Turvey cites the story of legendary female NASCAR driver Ethel Mobley and her family of racing pioneers as his main inspiration, which might sound quite unusual at first considering the fact that he is first and foremost a menswear designer. However, the outcome is more then convincing. Combining his signature sportswear-inspired silhouettes with a standout choice of textiles, bold colors and playful floral patterns, he presents a quite masculine collection that’s not afraid to get in touch with its softer side.
