The 5 Best New Music Videos of the Week – TOKiMONSTA, Jacques Greene & More

Another week, another wonderful selection of music videos for your viewing pleasure. Thank us later.

The xx – Sunset (Jamie xx Edit)

If there’s one thing we can establish from this video it’s that Romy was Lizzy Mercier Descloux in her past life. Watch as the French singer twists and turns her way through Jamie’s edit.

TOKiMONSTA – Clean Slate feat. Gavin Turek (Dir. fourclops)

http://youtu.be/KiIxeIvC5Ik

In Gavin Turek, Tokimonsta has found her soul sister. Here the two hang out by waterfalls and hilltops in the company of some Pokemon-esque friends. And the best part? IT’S INTERACTIVE!

Jacques Greene – Faithful (Dir. TRUSST)

The young Canadian has a real knack for making music that makes you feel. Personally, I always imagine myself hearing his music in a dimly-lit, ominous club, with a belly full of whiskey and a night full of rash decisions ahead of me. According to TRUSST the video was filmed using “iPhone and Mini DV-shot models acting out a series of emotions,” – a fitting set of visuals for another fantastic song from Greene.

David Byrne & Jherek Bischoff – Eyes (Dir. Georgia & Jordan Kinley)

Seattle-based composer Jherek Bischoff released his meticulously crafted album, Composed last year. For the song “Eyes” he collaborated with one of his heroes, David Byrne. Watch the compelling video above.

Hot Sugar – Leverage (Feat. Kool A.D., Fat Tony, Lakutis & Nasty Nigel) (Dir. Jay Sprogell & Hot Sugar)

Hot Sugar has rounded up four rap heavyweights and got them cotching at Coney Island. Well played, sir.
