In the midst of a new week, we present another installment of our ever-popular Tumblr series. This week’s selection features those on either side of the law, albeit in very atypical fashion, among others. As always, let us know what you think of this week’s selection and feel free to leave your Tumblr in the comments section below. With a bit of luck, you’ll see yours here next week.
The first of three new blogs on this week’s list, Life of a Stranger Who Stole My Phone is the “inspiring story of Hafid from Dubai.” Apparently, the thief in question forgot to switch off the camera’s upload function and as a result, we all get to enjoy his wondrous, crime-filled life.
While the directions are simple, the results are often baffling or at the very least, surprising. Content Aware Typography runs as follows:
1. Choose a picture with some typography in it.
2. Select an area that is close to the letters.
3. Apply Photoshop’s Content-Aware Fill.
The Joy of Six is a very well-curated selection of Vine’s best videos. The title, of course, refers to the length of time allowed for each film by the popular app. If this one doesn’t convince you of Vine’s strengths over Instagram, nothing will.
As if the name itself wasn’t trolling enough, Been Troll trolls the fickle world of street fashion and presents edited versions of what’s hot at the moment. Another new one, we expect good things from Been Troll as the current streetwear landscape is ripe for parody.
Another perfectly titled Tumblr, Cop Selfies presents the law enforcement profession and all of its stereotypes in an entirely new light. Since the blog is brand new, we’re hoping #copselfie catches on.
