We continue our Cycling New York series with a road trip to Long Island’s North Fork vineyard territory. Washed in some of the best weather of the year, our weekend was highlighted with a celebration that offered us the opportunity to once again test the Nokia Lumia 928 Windows Phone.
A bicycle ride to Long Island’s North Fork is a long, long ride. To make things a little easier on the legs, we mounted the bicycles on the back of our car and took the two-hour drive out to the vineyards. Our visit was one to celebrate a wedding and what a perfect environment for the festivities.
The wedding itself took place in late afternoon and offered us an opportunity to test the low-light effectiveness of the Nokia Lumia 928’s Carl Zeiss lens and the camera’s sensor. As you can see, the lush greens of the grape vines shine through well even under the darkening skies.
We kicked off pre-dinner celebrations with a wine tasting and hors d’oeuvres on the grounds of the vineyards. The perfect weather allowed for guests to enjoy the grounds of the vineyard and the company of friends.
To help show the strength of the camera on the Nokia Lumia 928, we offer this long and macro shot of some treats offered to guests before dinner. The lush red of the lollipop shows well in the green environment.
Here, on this closeup shot, we can see the details and textures of the lollipop and whoopie pies that all guests enjoyed. What a wonderful day it was in Long Island!
