Tune in and turn up

From nerdy white guys in the projects to desert dwellers in California, this week’s selection has it all. Check out JT’s new funk-fueled visuals and the new video from one of Britain’s soon-to-be emerging stars. Enjoy our picks and have a great weekend.

The Naked And Famous – Hearts Like Ours (Dir. Campbell Hooper)

The LA-shot “Hearts Like Ours” is the lead single from the Kiwi quintet’s second album, In Rolling Waves, due for release on September 16 via Fiction Records.

Fryars – Cool Like Me (Dir. Ian & Cooper)

Sadly I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t busted out a few of these moves in my time. Although as a general rule of thumb I tend to save such choreography for special occasions (think weddings or Bar Mitzvahs).

Justin Timberlake – Take Back The Night (Dir. Jeff Nicholas, Jonathan Craven and Darren Craig)

Another week and yet another JT video in our list – the man’s a machine. This time things are less conceptual and feature the singer grooving his way through the New York City night. With parts shot in Chinatown and a slight similarity in the color palette one could allude to Nicolas Winding Refn’s Only God Forgives, but I’ll leave that for someone else.

inc. – Angel (Dir. Daniel Aged, Andrew Aged, Ryan Kuhlman)

This beautiful set of visuals sees the LA duo in the dusty Californian desert and is a testament to simple ideas executed beautifully.

FKA Twigs – Water Me (Dir. Jessa Kanda)

After signing with Young Turks (SBTRKT, The xx) and working with Yeezus collaborator Arca, it’s safe to say this young Brit is set for big things.
