Mercedes-Benz lifts the veil on their 2015 GLA-Class, the latest compact crossover in the German car manufacturer’s lineup. Set to be seen up close at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, the vehicle shares the same platform as the new A-Class and CLA-Class. However, when it comes to size, the GLA is slightly bigger than the A-Class, although the interior appears to be a direct carryover from its predecessor.
The first vehicle to launch in the series will be the GLA250 4Matic, which runs on a turbocharged and direct-injected 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine producing 208 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, paired to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. In addition, drivers will be getting from 0-60 in 6.4 seconds when it goes on sale in the U.S. in the fall of next year.
