A grown-up direction for Norse Projects, while the brand is probably best known for sweats and caps, there has been a gradual but noticeable move to something a little less streetwear. This Fall Winter 2013 collection is divided into 3 distinct categories. Technical; “Not strictly geared toward sport or casual wear, this segment has been designed to offer pinpoint protection and kaleidoscopic variety” featuring technical fabrics such as Polartec, Coolmax and Primaloft executed in non-activewear styles. Next up, Formal; “Archetypal menswear shapes and styles in classic or muted colours…applying new technology to classic tailoring has resulted in hybrid outerwear styles that combine natural fabrics with waterproof and breathable membranes.” Lastly, Casual; “The casual segment of the collection showcases timeless menswear styles with references drawn from military surplus, college sportswear and Danish nautical life.” Expect selvedge denim, fairisle knits, down jackets and organic cottons. A succinct, thoughtful collection from an ever-evolving brand. See more in the gallery.
