‘Star Wars’ Sculptures Made from Discarded Machine Parts

American artist Gabriel Dishaw has created a series of sculptures made from discarded metal parts featuring characters from the Star Wars universe. As a proponent of upcycling, each sculpture is created entirely from found objects like typewriters, keyboards, airplane parts and computer chips. His collection of sculptures comes from a personal interest in the cult classic’s characters, which he reinterprets with new attributes like the “Samurai Vader.” Through his recycled works, the artist aims to create a dialogue around creative ways to deal with discarded technological materials in an environmentally sound way.
