Nikon releases the latest full-function camera in their COOLPIX lineup in the form of the P7800. An upgrade from last year’s P7700, the 2013 iteration features a 1/1.7-inch 12.2MP BSI CMOS sensor, 7.1x 28-200mm f/2-4 lens, and a 3-inch 921k-dot RGBW articulating LCD. In addition, there’s 1080/30p video capture, an 8 fps continuous shooting mode, and an ISO range of 80-3200.
More advanced shooters will be pleased by the manual mode enabled via the mode dial towards the top near the shutter release. Further functions include a built-in three-stop neutral-density filter, allowing a bit more flexibility for video shooters.
Look for the camera to release later this month at a price point of $550 USD.
