On September 8, En Noir delivered its Spring/Summer 2014 “Coal Wasteland” presentation at Milk Studios in New York City as part of Fashion Week. With an original set built by artist Daniel Arsham and Alex Mustonen of Brooklyn-based design firm Snarkitecture, the presentation featured a choreographed dance by American dancer Lil Buck and a custom track by Stelios Phili. The Spring/Summer 2014 collection grabs inspiration from rock ‘n’ roll and fuses it with true functionality, as designer Rob Garcia pushes familiar silhouettes to the limit while keeping pieces wearable for both men and women. This season, En Noir features more technical pieces with textured and smoked neoprene on sweatpants and outerwear, photo print realism embroidery, stretched leather on tops, denimtech waxed fabrics and more.
