Where form meets function

Contemporist shares a this lovely home renovation with addition from architect Henri Cleinge in Quebec, Canada. The Bord-du-Lac House is a 200-year old stone home on land once owned by The Hudson Bay Compay. With the help of Cleinge, the stone structure has been modernized and expanded with a “contemporary” addition. Featuring an elevated walkway connecting new construction to the old, Bord-du-Lac House will continued to shelter generations to come as it has for centuries past. Take a look inside the structure.
