The Weekly Outfit: The Fall of Summer

We’ve got to stick together when times get tough and take pleasure in the simple things – simple in this circumstance being retail therapy. The coming of fall means we get to indulge in updating our wardrobes with clothes – new clothes, warm clothes. It’s impossible to look stylish in summer, anyway. Too much flesh, too little cloth, sweating and sticking all over the place. Horrible. Bring on the cold, I say.

Universal Works Crofter Jacket

If fall was a fabric, it would be corduroy. If it was a color, it would be fawn. Well, there’s probably other colors it could be too but this Universal Works Crofter Jacket with a removable shearling collar is pretty damn autumnal. You can pick it up now from The Goodhood Store.

Garbstore Civilian Service Chino

These tapered chinos from the Garbstore come in a dark grey elephant camo print, on a Japanese Hishimoto stretch-heavy sateen. Five jet pockets and a lower side pocket means you’ll never be short of places to put those cold hands of yours. Cop a pair from Couverture and The Garbstore now.

Folk Clothing Button-Up Cardigan

Fall and knitwear is a no-brainer. Folk have been our go-to for a while now, and we see no sign of that changing. With this version you can do that Cholo-style thing with just the top button done up, but still be toasty warm. Pick it up direct from the source.

Red Wing 8890 6-Inch Moc

The classic stitched moccasin work boot by Red Wing in a charcoal leather. It features a Traction tread sole and Goodyear welt construction, with 7-eye lace up and triple-stitched quality for years of wear and none of the tear. Get your hands on a pair from Need Supply Co.

Ayame Basket Lunch Socks

Ayame works with Japanese craftsmen, transferring two-dimensional designs onto a knitting machine to enhance their expression with intricate depth and texture. In a word, they look dope. Buy a pair from The Hip Store.

Fjallraven Byron Beanie

Fjallraven know the cold, so all their garments do a pretty good job of counteracting it. This ribbed woollen Byron Beanie does just that and the graphite color will make sure it goes with almost anything in your wardrobe, fall-colored or not. Buy it now from End Clothing.
